First Knight - April of 1999 to August of 2003Circle of the Order of the Rose and the Dragon (CORD)
Created and founded by Aeron (and me of course) this was an extremely complex guild on AOL, running intricate story lines and accepting only very advanced role-players and well developed characters. Players were required to be 18 or over to bring in a character. Applicants were run through a testing of their skills, combat, magic, healing or otherwise. It was a unique mixture of both good and evil characters, alignment of no concern whatsoever. On the average, one of out five applicants was accepted. Dice existed only for political reasons, and freeform skills were expected to be extremely high, accuracy and detail an absolute must. The guild averaged 40 characters at any given time, with separate players for each character.
Some of the changes and contributions from Aeron and CORD are still in use or practiced among the current, existing RPG guilds, kingdoms, orders and knighthoods. Still others used those ideas and built upon them, refined them further. It was our sincere hope our efforts to further the game on this system would not be in vain.
Knight Commander
Legion Commander
Order of the Crimson Star (OCS)
I forget the dates but it was well over a year prior to the beginning of CORD. I do almost hate to even admit Aeron and I were part of this insanity, but she joined not long after the OCS had begun. Aeron pulled triple duty in this guild. She ran one of the legions and the knighthood. Upon accepting command of the OCS knighthood, she completely redefined the entire definition of it and rebuilt the structure based on her ideals (mine as well, of course). When she took command there were less than 20 knights. Upon her retirement there were 40 plus knights and close to 30 squires, with a long waiting list, all trained under the combat program she had created. These knights also had to endure trials by combat as well as a rather difficult written test of their mental faculties. Aeron also served as the personal guard to the head of the Order.
Combat experience and skills
Aeron has trained approximately 100 characters in advanced RPG combat skills. She has personally mentored into knighthood roughly 25 or so individual characters, a process that took months of real time. In the last 3-4 years she was on this system, she was in at least 18 death matches. She can move with a speed that absolutely defies capture by the human eye. An immortal, vampire or otherwise, would have to be a match for her in years and experience to see her as more than a blur.
Aeron's skills in battle have been earned by her dedication in training herself as well as other characters. She does not rely on magic in a fight, she relies on herself and her sword.
Weapons
On each arm, there is a bracer, hidden wrist sheaths that hold daggers. These daggers are mounted on a spring contraption, one she invented and a smithy brought to life. The daggers can be dropped into her palms or released with all the pressure and speed of an arrow from a compound bow. There are also daggers stashed in her boot tops, as well as a breast dagger hidden beneath her leathers.Over the years, I have found it difficult to describe that wicked piece of steel she carries, so I finally made it. Popped open my Photoshop one day and had at it. Click here to have a peek, mostly so I do not have to struggle to describe the thing while in the midst of an RPG brawl.
Physical description
No, don't even assume you can see the above mentioned breast dagger, because her normal attire is definitely not the - I'm too sexy for everyone - warrioress look. The lady dresses for business, period. I'm playing a warrior not a tavern whore. From neck to toe, she's covered in very supple, strong leathers, custom tailored and handmade. After all, she can afford it.Aeron's hair is extremely long, it's been that way for years now. It drops all the way down to her knees, a dark brown with burnished highlights of copper and gold, those come from the sun. It is the only personal indulgence she allows herself. In battle, it is always, always braided, and wrapped around her head like a crown. No grabbing the hair then, is there? Her eyes are dark brown, flecked with green or gold, depending on her mood. One color is a good thing, the other is very, very bad. Her skin coloring is reminiscent of the exotic mix of her people's tribes; olive - golden tones, so she tans rather easily.
The lady is slender, not skinny. There is a difference. Her muscles are as toned as it gets, after all, she spent countless hours in training and fighting. Literally. She is very attractive to the eyes, but it is that fiercely burning inner fire fiercely burning inner fire which sets her beauty apart.
Aeron can lift a 300 pound man off the ground with one hand, and snap his neck like a twig. Do not assume, by her diminutive size, she cannot do the things she does. At 5 feet, 6 inches, she was tall for her people, back in the day. Aeron is over 7,000 years old, an abomination of nature created from a human woman by ancient magic. Oh yes, Aeron was human, born to human parents long ago. She carries within herself, the soul of a beast so savage, so fierce, that should it be loosened now, there is no telling what might happen.
This woman can be more feminine than you can possibly imagine, in the right moment and time. But make no mistake, there is nothing, absolutely nothing feminine about her on the field, in battle.
